Google’s Chromecast was the world’s top streaming device in Q3, Strategy Analytics says

Google’s dongle-sized Chromecast was the top streaming device in terms of worldwide sales in the third quarter, according to research firm Strategy Analytics, capturing 35 percent of global revenue.

Apple TV ranked second in market share at 20 percent, followed by Roku at 16 percent. Overall, Strategy Analytics estimates that streaming-device makers took in around $9.2 billion in revenue during the third quarter.
